What is a Logo? A logo, as a mark, is supposed to be unique, original and sharp looking. It is used to represent only one organization. They should carry a descriptive message of what type of organization it is, what the organization does, and perhaps even why the organization does or does not do something (e.g. motivations and reasoning contained in the logo as a statement). Logos consist of several components. Depending on what kind of a logo it is (image, text or text & image)*, you will have varying levels of space for putting your message (slogan, motto or verse) into it. So if it is an image, it might describe your organization or be an actual building of your church, ministry, or business. It may also be an image of the thing you produce or thing that plays the great role in the life of your organization. Further, organizations have a title (a name). As a rule, usually the title already carries some description of your organization. So, if the title is included in your logo, it will appear to be more unique. Further, organizations typically have a slogan (which has more to do with principles) or a motto (a motivation statement). However, both are very descriptive, because they disclose more information about your organization. Churches or Christian educational establishments would, as a rule, put a Bible verse in place of a slogan or motto. Businesses may also use a Bible verse or may develop something else that reflects their Biblical principles and motivations. *or word mark, symbol- or image mark or word-image/word-symbol mark
